What Is The Library Of Words?

The Library Of Words is a website dedicated to indie ttrpg games, movies, video games, and the weirder side of pop culture.

Our main aim is to cover things that other sites would overlook. This includes new projects by smaller creators and forgotten ephemera culture that has fallen from the public consciousness.

Currently, the Library Of Words’ main focuses are:

Who Runs This Place?

This site is a solo project run by Jonathon “Starshine” Greenall.

Jonathon is a life-long fan of obscure and independent media, especially stuff pushing boundaries and breaking away from the status quo.

Jonathon Greenall is a freelance writer, TTRPG designer, and artist based in Vancouver, Canada. Outside Library Of Words, they have also written for CBR, Polygon, Into The Spine, Retro Dodo, Gayley Dreadful, Enbylife, and Nintendo Life.

They’ve also created several popular TTRPGs, including You Have One Ability, The Ability To F**k This Up!, All I Want For Christmas…Is To Get Out Of This *$#! Mall, This Game Takes Place Entirely In A Mega Mart Parking Lot!, and No Springs!

One of their games was also featured in the ENNIE Award-winning game anthology Level 1: Volume 2.
