What Is The Library Of Words?
The Library Of Words is a website dedicated to indie ttrpg games, movies, video games, and the weirder side of pop culture.
Our main aim is to cover things that other sites would overlook. This includes new projects by smaller creators and forgotten ephemera that has fallen from the public consciousness.
Currently, the Library Of Words’ main focuses are:
- Indie TTRPG Games
- Movies
- Video Games
- Media Deep Dives
- Ephemera
Who Runs This Place?
This site is a solo project run by Jonathon Greenall, a queer writer, TTRPG designer, artist, and content creator based in Vancouver, Canada.
My writing has appeared on websites like Polygon, The Gamer, CBR, Nintendo Life, Gayley Dreadful, We Got This Covered, Retro Dodo, and many others. My main focus areas are movies, anime, TV, games, comics, and long-form deep-dives into LGBGTQ+ topics.
As a TTRPG designer, I’ve created highly-praised games like “You Have One Ability, The Ability To **** This Up,” “Twas The Labour Dispute Before Christmas,” and “This Game Takes Place Entirely In A Maga Mart Parking Lot.” I also wrote a game for the ENNIE Award-winning TTRPG anthology Level 1: Volume 2.
I love to create unique and accessible games so that everyone, from the newest roleplaying game fan to lifelong lovers of the medium, can enjoy fun, memorable, and collaborative experiences.
