One of the best things about Numbskulls is its success mechanic. The higher your stat, the more numbers on the dice count as successes. Numbskulls is very intuitive and easy to learn, making it a great introductory TTRPG.
Dinocar Is A Family Friendly-Dino Adventure
In the Dinocar world, Dinosaurs live among humans doing regular things, including driving motorcars. Alas, they suck at it.
At its heart, Dinocar is an arts and crafts-based wordbuilding game. Players work together to create a map featuring natural landmarks and human structures before drawing roads to connect the various places on the map. Once the map is complete, each player tries to draw a path around the map while wearing a blindfold. While drawing this path, the player attempts to hit as many landmarks as possible while staying on the road while the other players guide them. This game has a fantastic atmosphere, perfectly evoking the feeling of shows like Twin Peaks while remaining simple to play thanks to its two-dice system, making it a great horror experience for players who like to focus on storytelling over rules.
Madame Mayor! Combines Muppets And Local Politics
Madame Mayor has one of the most unique premises ever. After enduring a series of corrupt politicians, Townsville has elected Madame Mayor, the puppet who hosts the local library’s story hour, to be their new leader.
In this game, each player controls a specific part of Madame Mayor. The players have unique abilities depending on which bit they control, meaning that using each part effectively is crucial if you want life in Townsville to run smoothly. A wonderfully unique experience, Madame Mayor is great for parties as it’s a lot of silly and chaotic fun, especially if you have a real puppet to use as a prop.

The actual combat uses dice, with players rolling as many D6 as they want and assigning the dice to their ship’s various parts. However, players have to be careful, as rolling too many dice will cause your mech to overheat, leading to it taking damage. This system leads to a tense and tactical experience as players must calculate risk and work strategically to overcome the odds, making this a great solo game for fans of crunchier mechanics.
Lost But Not Forgotten Follows A Wandering Spirit
In Lost But Not Forgotten, players play as spirits stuck wandering their hometown until they can complete their unfinished business. To do this, they’ll need to explore the town and learn about the people they’ve left behind. While doing this, you can interact with the world of the living but will need to be careful, as overt supernatural actions risk scaring the humans that witness them, which can make it harder for the ghosts to learn what they need.
Lost But Not Forgotten is a gripping storytelling game. It is a great game to play with fallen characters from other games, chronicling their final hours before entering the afterlife.

The Santiago Mansion Draws From Edgar Allan Poe
Available in Portuguese and English, The Santiago Mansion declares that it is inspired by “The Fall of the House of Usher” by Edgar Allan Poe. In this solo game, players step into the shoes of someone who received a weird letter from an old friend inviting them to stay at the friend’s family’s mansion.
At the start of the game, the player arranges a standard deck of cards into a face-down 4 by 13 grid before picking which edge they want to start on. On each turn, the player rolls a D6 and then moves that many steps around the grid, revealing the card they land on at the end. This card gives prompts and further develops the plot. This grid system enhances the game dramatically, adding plenty of tension to each round, making this an excellent take on a gothic classic.
These Interrupting Fireworks Is About Romantic Confessions
These Interrupting Fireworks is a 2-player game about people trying to confess their feelings for one another. Alas, a nearby fireworks display makes this confession easier said than done.
Each turn, one player secretly writes down what they want to say. They then roll a dice for each syllable of their message. If they roll high, the other character hears that syllable, while a low roll means the sound of a firework drowns it out. The player then rewrites the statement with the obscured syllables removed and gives it to the other player, who has to try and make sense of it before sending their response. These Interrupting Fireworks is a great two-player game that can be played over Discord or similar chat apps.

This unique setting is paired with some very clever mechanics. As players explore this weird place, they’ll rack up favors and debts.
